Fall in Paris

Fall in Paris

In case you missed our social media posts last month, Mary Cheatham was in Paris for an entire week with her husband, Chip. She was able to visit the Keller Williams Paris office and present a Mastermind class on how to exponentially grow your business! We asked Mary Cheatham to send us her favorite parts about the trip, and now you can follow along and see all the places they went, and her favorite places to see! Read below excerpts from Paris from MC herself:

Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to teach at KW Paris, presenting to a group of agents about how to grow their businesses. My husband, Chip, and I had an absolute ball exploring the city and getting a little taste of France before and after the big day.

After an overnight flight, we arrived in Paris (my first visit!) where I was immediately taken with the bridges everywhere crossing the Seine.  I especially loved the ones that don’t allow cars – my favorite was the Pont des Arts.

A walking tour of the city helped us get our bearings. Here is Chip with our tour guide, Chris, in front of Notre Dame. You can see the scaffolding in the background for the ongoing repairs from the fire in April.

Our first morning waking up in Paris! Our Hotel, d’Aubusson in Saint Germaine, was wonderful. We ate breakfast every morning outside and I swooned over the way they made my lattes with torched chocolate on top!

We found that bikes were the most fun way to explore the city! All we had to do was download an app, allowing us to rent and return bikes at hundreds of stations around Paris.

We ate dinner one night at Les Ombres, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.  I don’t remember much about the food, but I do remember that view!

We visited several museums, including the Louvre, but Musee d’Orsay was far and away my favorite! Since the museum itself is an old train station, the architecture is incredible with lots of natural light. They currently have an exhibition of works by Degas, including many of the dancer paintings he’s famous for, but focusing on all aspects of the opera. It was wonderful!

We had to stop at Laduree to get little boxes of macarons for Sally and Walter. Plus I might have gotten one or two for myself…

The big day! I was blown away to walk into the KW Paris Market Center and see a flier for my class at the entrance. Although we needed some help with translation, communication was so much easier than I anticipated! The agents were fantastic and asked the most insightful questions. It was an absolute thrill to work with them!

As we wrapped up our trip, we made one last stop, driving to Reims, about 2 hours from Paris. We spent two nights at the charming Les Crayeres, formerly a private chateau in a beautiful setting. The name of the hotel translates to The Caves, since it’s surrounded by caves owned by some of the champagne houses in France. We were able to tour a few and to learn all about how champagne is produced, stored and distributed.
